At Amazing Health, we are committed to creating accessible pathways to mental health and wellness for everyone in our community.
ARMHS (Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services) are necessary in Minnesota to help adults with a serious mental illness develop and maintain psychiatric stability, personal and social skills, and the ability to live independently in the community. These services, which include coaching and instruction on mental health symptom management, basic living skills, and medication education, allow individuals to retain functioning and avoid more restrictive care settings. ARMHS provides a crucial safety net and path to recovery by empowering individuals to build the skills needed for stable, self-directed lives within their communities.
Why ARMHS is essential:
- Promotes independent living: ARMHS teaches skills for managing daily life, such as household management and basic social skills, which are vital for living independently in the community.
- Prevents higher-level care: By providing rehabilitative support, ARMHS helps individuals retain their stability and functioning, reducing the likelihood of being admitted to more restrictive and costly service settings.
- Supports recovery from serious mental illness: The program is designed to help individuals manage symptoms of serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, enabling them to achieve recovery and improve their overall quality of life.
- Facilitates community integration: ARMHS helps individuals develop the social, personal, and emotional adjustment skills needed to become more engaged and successful in their communities.
- Provides ongoing education and support: Services include essential support such as medication education and monitoring, and assistance with navigating mental health services and other community resources.
- Uses a rehabilitative and individual-centered approach: The services focus on building skills and fostering growth, with treatment plans and goals developed directly with the client.
At Amazing Health, our ARMHS program is designed to reflect your values-dignity, empowerment, and clarity-while aligning with DHS standards.
